Rider25 I would defend you when you say “the drivers put up with…”, but in reality, the drivers don’t “put” up with anything …..because they just ignore it.

Your comment makes sense, I was just merely pointing out what I see as a contradiction. Rules are rules and meant to be obeyed. I’m not upset as to whether I can smoke on the bus or not. I’ve actually quit. But you’re still not entirely accurate, like peeing on the bus, it would only affect one part of the bus. Even smoke from a cigarette would be inclined to go out the nearest window. As to whether anyone would smell it or not, probably, just like we’re forced to smell everyone’s cologne, perfume and fast food. It won’t get me second-hand full, but it will still friggin stink, just like cigarettes. I’m not advocating smoking on the bus.

The reason why not all rules are creates equal is that not all offenses are created equal. Eating and drinking are prohibited because you *might* get fruit punch everywhere. When you smoke, you necessarily get it everywhere.

Smoking… especially in an enclosed environment is like throwing fruit punch around the coach every time you do it. A better analogy is to peeing on the bus. You rarely see a blind eye turned to that.

If you’re still upset that you can’t smoke on a bus, but someone else may get away with eating, ask yourself if his sandwich gets you second-hand full :-/
