Once on a crowded rush hour subway train here, I saw some punkish teenage girls with their feet up on a seat. Some random woman got on the train, absolutely *shoved* their feet off the seat without a word, and people were actually applauding and cheering as she comfortably and righteously sat down. But Montreal is lucky. I just imagine that someday someone will read this blog and think to themselves, "Hm, you know what? Maybe I shouldn't piss and shit directly all over the seats on the bus." Then this blog could focus on the important things in life, such as not spitting into people's mouths, or rubbing our penises against strangers' faces. Totally love San Francisco in spite of it all! Despite our our own two-woman campaign to get riders to cover up during CSY, we're continually surprised at the state of civility on mass transit when it comes to spreading spores.
