Found this little tidbit article over at sfexaminer about Mr. Ford. Might be an interesting read to some.

Right when I was reading this particular part…
“Ford said he has made cleaning the system — from picking up trash as soon as it lands on a streetcar seat to wiping off the graffiti on the bus shelters — mandatory. In fact, he even has his youngest of four children, who ride Muni to and from school, phone him when they see trash strewn about.”
…I immediately thought about last night’s ride on the outbound N. I guess the cleanup crew didn’t get to this particular train set since there were newspapers strewn about on the floor and on some of the seats. There was even remnants of somebody’s turkey dinner on the floor. Fortunately, no barf or pee to be seen…but I expect to run across it someday.

I’ve seen vomit on Muni at least twice in the past two years.

I ride some of the busiest lines in town (N, 38, 14, 49), and have yet to see any marked improvement. Still tons of trash and graffiti (for the record, I don’t care too much about graffiti). Wondering when we’re gonna see these improvements Ford discusses in The Examiner’s article. I agree that cleaner buses are at least more welcoming for the PT-shy. But now, especially, is time to follow through on agency promises.

I got on a 22 last week – I think the 3rd stop from the start point in the marina – the bus smelled like vomit and there were even some women’s panties on the floor…. ugggggg… gross!

Fuck muni. Fuck your half hour wait times after 3 consecutive trains in 5 mins. Fuck you muni. Fuck your prices. Burn in hell. I quit taking muni as of today. I’ve had enough of this shit
