Delayed by Muni This Morning?

Were you affected by the service disruption that halted nearly 70 Muni buses this morning?

SFist reports that the delay was caused by an angry union steward who blocked the gate and prevented buses from leaving the Muni terminal in Dogpatch. He was with Transport Workers Union Local 250-A, according to the report.

Tell us about it in the comments section below.

I sure as heck was caught in this mess. If it wasn’t for a very kind neighbor I would have been waiting for a long time at Del Vale and O’Shaughnessy for the number 44.

Here are some of the routes that were affected by the lockdown at Woods:

    16AX/BX
    17-Parkmerced
    18-46th Avenue
    23-Monterey
    26-Valencia
    27-Bryant
    29-Sunset
    35-Eureka
    36-Teresita
    37-Corbett
    44-O’Shaughnessy
    48-Quintara/24th Street
    52-Excelsior
    54-Felton
    56-Rutland
    66-Quintara
    71-Haight/Noreiga
    80X/81X/82X Express Routes

There may be more, the new buses are the ones that operated out of Woods. But I don’t ride any of these routes, so I wasn’t really affected.

If you’re feeling victimized by yesterday’s delays, you can verify. We’ve posted a complete list of the lines that operate out of the Woods bus garage on our site:

This is one of those only-in-San Francisco events — amazing!
