I don’t know if you know this, but way back when there was a group called the Muni Coalition: Muni Riders for a Better Muni. My former partner used to have meetings at our apartment on Clement Street. The variety of people who came was astounding — transgender, hippies, and all the rest.
This was back in the 1980s.
