My friend pointed that out to me yesterday. The car was beside the bus prior to crossing. There was a car in front of him waiting to make a right turn because there were pedestrians in the way, so maybe that car was blocking what was written on the street. But as someone will probably point out, if he couldn't see what was written on the street, then maybe he was driving too close to the other car. @Eugenia That’s what I mean, though I cannot be sure if that is he reason.

Even if Muni was obscuring the stop sign from sight, the driver who hit you should have been aware of the four-way stop. Sounds like he/she just wasn't paying attention.
