Muni rider Monica has this story:
On Sundays, I would need to take the 71 Haight-Noriega at Noriega and 46th Ave (going downtown). Twice, a Muni driver would begin the line about 3 minutes before he was supposed to. He would stop in the middle of Noriega and 44th ave to pee in the gas station. This was not in front of a bus stop by the way.
What the hell? Try to pee before you drive?
Heh. I sympathize with the bus driver. I’m like that before every road trip. Nervous habit, you know? Sorry. TMI? – Eugenia

Our office is on 25th Street near 3rd Street. Several times a day MUNI buses stop mid block, and the drivers pee in the gutter. The shop security camera catches it all. Maybe I will put edit the MUNI scenes together, add music and post them on YouTube.

I sympathize too. I bet that not many bus routes have terminals with readily available facilities for drivers to use during their breaks. I’m guessing that the Pizza Place on Noriega was closed whenever this was on a Sunday. Mmmmm. Pizza Place on Noriega.

One of my afternoon 22 drivers always stops at 16th and Folsom and goes in to the Muni building there to pee. It’s really annoying, because he doesn’t say anything, just pulls the bus over. But on his way back to the bus he’s always adjusting his fly.

I’ve heard that during early morning runs before the gas station opens, 71 drivers will pee in the bushes at 48th/Great Highway.

It is better than what some drivers do at the end of the Noriega line which is pee in the gutter. Walk on the other side of the street at Ortega and 45th unless you want to experience the smell.

They have a porta-potty at the end of the line on 48th and Ortega. Curious why they would go to the 76 station.
