These are old Gillig Phantom busses that have 100,000+ miles on them that SFMTA brought from Samtrans and is used as training buses. SFMTA has initiated a massive hiring wave, so you will be seeing a whole bunch of these in the city in the weeks ahead.

I was driving one of these yesterday when it was raining hard and it was raining inside the coach because of leaks in the roof. =(

Yeah, I think AC Transit is what the trainer said when I inquired about the blue seats.
