Yeah they all smell like pee. Even the ones that are in the middle of the platforms and fairly visible.
With having no legitimate place to pee in BART though, what do they expect? It doesnt surprise me that people would be drunk or desperate enough to pee in the elevator given the lack of options. (though in downtown, theres always a hotel around!)
L. (our 2-year-old, the reason we go in elevators and the reason this photo was taken) has 3 statements in elevators: “This one smells fine,” “This one smells yucky,” and “This one smells like a potty.”
There are people who ride on BART all day because they are mentally unbalanced or homeless or both. This is where they spend a lot of time, so this is where they urinate. Make sense?
Some people can not hold themselves as long as other people. These people find toilet accommodations invaluable. When the toilet accommodations are shuttered for “security” reasons, some folks prefer to find relief in the privacy of a slow elevator rather than in public or in their pants.
All of us will really need to use the restroom at some point. Crazy and homeless people do not have a monopoly on the need to use the facilities.
well-said, sir RT @JohnKingSFChron: Muni's 30-Stockton line: San Francisco in all its diverse and inconvenient glory. 13 hours ago
RT @SolaCupcake: kids on Muni this morning: "Girls take a shower to get more power. Boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider." Over and over 14 hours ago
RT @pmonks: Status: that feeling of sitting on #Muni and realising you've been staring absentmindedly at someone's crotch for 10 minutes. 16 hours ago
