I took the 49 home straight from the market with a big bunch of fresh basil and the whole bus smelled like basil!!! It was the best smelling bus ever! I think I’ll always buy fresh herbs if Muni will always smell this good!

i find it’s not uncommon to smell pleasantly fragrant herbs on MUNI all the time (so obvious, surprised no one else went there first)

I recall when I was a kid in the early 50′s little old ladies in wool coats would get on the old White busses and the smell of garlic and fish would fill the air.
Standing in a packed bus with my Mom next to that shopping bag was torture, I was 3 feet tall and that smelly bag was as big as I was.
