Gallery: Muni Portraits

a happy couple waiting for the bus

San Francisco is a city of characters and photographer Robert B. Livingston captured many of them in transit in this photo gallery. From clown going home on a slow day at Fisherman’s Wharf to a sweet couple waiting for Muni, every photo seems to be the start of a story — a Muni story, maybe?

I want to know the information of the last photo of the Muni operator; when was it taken? Because that operator is no longer with the agency since around 2008.

Webster was one of the very best drivers I ever rode with on a regular basis. He was friendly and alert– and a great driver who took a lot of pride in his service. I believe he retired shortly after I took the photo– and I really missed him!

It sure is a blast to see my photos here and am glad that people are enjoying them.

    Best wishes to all.
