Your Weekend Transit Advisory: Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon, M-Ocean View work

Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco Half Marathon
On Sunday the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco Half Marathon will begin at Great Highway and John F. Kennedy Drive. The race will start at 6:30 a.m. The 13.1-mile course will take runners across the Golden Gate Bridge and back through the city to finish at Civic Center. The following street closures will be required:

Note: Local access will be allowed. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the event area until after the race has finished. San Francisco Police Department personnel will be present along the course to direct traffic.

UPDATE: M Ocean View Line Rail Rehabilitation Project
As an ongoing effort to maintain the infrastructure in a state of good repair, SFMTA will replace the aging tracks on the M-Ocean View Line on San Jose Avenue between Geneva and Niagara avenues.

Construction work hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Work has begun and is estimated to last for six weeks.

During construction hours, M Ocean View line will operate on regular Muni buses between stops at Broad Street and Plymouth Avenue and at San Jose and Geneva avenues. These buses will serve the same rail stops. Regular train service will operate between Broad Street/Plymouth Avenue and Embarcadero Station.
