Starfleet Rules Don’t Work on Muni

Update: Leonard Nimoy passed away at 83 yesterday. We wish him a peaceful journey, wherever the great bus in the sky takes him. In our humble opinion, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home is probably the most underrated San Francisco movie. It’s worth it just for the Muni scenes alone.

And here’s what happens once these two got on the bus and discovered that punk rock isn’t so friendly to Starfleet ears.

    This was decades ago. They’d have understood the Clipper card, though it might seem primitive compared to biometric-ID payment systems.

    Ah, but this movie took place before the days of the Clipper Card! Perhaps Kirk and Spock have trouble understanding small change.
