Serious question: Would you spend the night in a Muni streetcar?
A Dutch company would have you do just that. Well, sorta.
What do you think? If a renovated, cleaned, out-of-service old Muni streetcar were available to spend the night in, would you do it? I mean, at least on Controversy Inn’s streetcars, there actually is a toilet on board. Right?
*Warning: Ugly website ahead
Sounds like a fun idea!
I’ve slept in a Caboose at the Red Caboose Motel in Strasburg PA and an old railroad car at the Chattannooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn so why not a streetcar?
Not kidding when you said “* Warning: Ugly website ahead” were you? I would sleep on such a tram, but not if they made me look at that website for more than 30 seconds.
And Muni would need to update their streetcars like that before I would sleep on them.
(my imagination runs wild) …I can see it now. Tourists flocking from all over the world to sleep in a vintage Muni Streetcar. First a continental breakfast and a quick wash-up, and then they could ride in luxury from Fort Mason all the way to Castro Street.
Good god, that website was hideous!
No, make that HIDEOUS!!!
HIDEOUS I TELL YOU!!!
H…I…D…E…O…U…S!!!!
Told you!
Reminds me of Carville.
