SFPD arrests suspect in assault on Muni station agent
The SF Police Department has made an arrest following the beating of a Muni station agent. From the SFPD press release:
On November 2, 2012, the San Francisco Community College District Police Department received an anonymous tip that the suspect was on the Phelan Campus. They detained the suspect and contacted the San Francisco Police Department. Officers from the San Francisco Policeâ€™s Muni Task Force responded to the campus and took the suspect into custody.
The suspect was identified as Devon Riley, 20, resident of San Francisco. Riley was interviewed Muni Task Force officers. Riley was booked into San Francisco County Jail on the following charges: battery with serious injuries, battery on a transportation operator and mayhem. All three charges are felonies. Riley’s mug shot is not being released at this time pending further identification matters.
“Mayhem” sounds about right to us. We’ll update here if more details emerge.
