What Happens When a Chicagoan Gets on Muni

So how does a little culture clash between tough-as-nails Chicago and nice-as-pie San Francisco go down on Muni? Zore told us all about it at the the Muni Diaries Story Tent at Secession Art and Design last Friday. Check out another story we got that night and the wacky Muni Mad-Libs from the Outbound show.

The video is now marked as “private”.

Friends of mine have been amid a conversation on Facebook that, in fact, many people find SF MUNI riders to be some of the most self-involved and rude transit riders every experienced and that Chicago and NYC transit riders, in the experience of the folks involved in the conversation, are significantly more considerate of older riders and pregnant riders.

*heh* 1999 Chicago is a lot different than Chicagto now. 🙂 I’ve had some GREAT times on CTA buses with people just chatting to me. If you end up on the bus on a Cubs game day in particular it’s like a party all the way down the line until you hit Wrigley Field. 🙂

Of course, I’ve not hopped on any CTA lines on the South Side, so my experiences are admittedly filtered in that regard. 🙂

Great story, though! 🙂 Loved it.

Chicago 2007 visitor – NO ONE said anything to anyone on the EL Train unless you were coming FROM the airport or going TO the airport from The Loop and were from out of town.

Sorry guys but I get more conversation on MUNI.
