Ideas to Make Muni Better

Big ideas for Muni buses from Jules:
Recruit Robin Williams do all the regular messages, in varying voices. Imagine his funny take on “Please move to the back of the bus,” it might just get people to listen, and god forbid, smile…He could consider adding these messages: “Please do not stand in front of a door unless you’re getting off at the next stop” and “Why stand when you can sit?”
Try softer lighting in a couple of buses, maybe a different glow will relax everyone more.
Got other quirky ideas to improve the ride?
I really like the lighting idea! That’s one of my favorite parts of Virgin America’s interiors – really is calming!
I like seeing all the diffrent stains on the floors and seats so i can see if that was rain water or some other liquid. So no soft lighting. Sorry
I’m all for it as long as he does the Mrs. Doubtfire voice somewhere. Preferably for Polk St.
yeah, hearing the same funny voices everyday would probably never get tired or annoying.
C’mon Joe, let’s put on our thinking caps. How about rotating the messages, so you never know which voices you’ll get? Or you could just leave the earphones in.
Get different local celebs to record messages for different lines. That would keep it interesting. Of course, they’d have to do it for free, cause Muni can’t afford to do anything these days.
I want hometown girl Margaret Cho to do some of the voices!
I think that’s the top reason why I’d like to try Virgin America on my next flight…
James Earl Jones as Darth Vader. “Front seats are reserved for seniors and those with disabilities.”
How about cleaning the busses?
How about hiring celebrity imitators, will that be cheaper?
Maybe some local history like “and on our left is the spot where ansel adams once lived” or “on our right is where some scenes from nash bridges were shot”
