    That’s a loom! You use it to spin carded fiber into thread. The thread can then be used to make yarn or to be woven into cloth… It usually has a carder attached or nearby (kinda like a dog brush) which is used to get any seeds/burrs out of the fiber. Common fibers I’ve seen it used for is cotton and wool.

    A loom is a frame for weaving thread into fabric by criss-crossing.
