We were totally blown away earlier this month at Muni Diaries Live. And in case you weren’t able to make it, we wanted to share with you.
In January, Elyse sent us one of the sweetest diaries to date: Long story short, she left her wallet on the 33-Stanyan, and when she got it back, she also fell in love.
Fast-forward 10 months, and Mahsa the one-woman band/mime and Elyse delighted the audience at Muni Diaries, to put it mildly. Elyse retold their diary, this time in kill-me cute Dr. Seuss-like rhyme. Then Mahsa covered Prince’s “Kiss” while Elyse broke out into twirl. Mesmerizing and darling and put a bow on it already.
Muni rider (and Mets fan) Jeremy took a stroll on Muni’s new E-Embarcadero streetcar line this weekend, and took some great photos of the new line as well. Strange to see a streetcar from this view, no?
Here’s a few more:
Check out the rest of Jeremy’s photos here. And read about LiveSoma’s E-Embarcadero ride here.
A group of 11-17-year-old youth media producers from BAYCAT shot, edited, and produced the movie above. It’s all about SFMTA/Muni.
There’s some fun history from a cable car gripman, and then the movie takes a closer look at the business of getting around San Francisco, for better and for worse.
Kids. These are some of the same kids whose laptops were pathetically stolen last month. BAYCAT, the nonprofit that serves these kids, is hosting a fundraiser to help replace the lost equipment, tonight at Cigar Bar. Help out if you can. RSVP here.
Hey, sometimes you need a break from Cocoon fan parties and diabeetus commercials.
So, we don’t know-know that this is Wilford Brimley, but we enjoy pretending it is. Maybe he can also be the spokesman for taking Muni to Giants games, right?
