Here’s something that us lucky San Franciscans rarely experience: 95 degree heat on the subway platform. The New York subway platform is at least 10 degrees hotter than it is outside, so on a balmy 85-degree day, poor New Yorkers endure 95-degree heat while waiting for the train. In this video, the ever-so-cheery actors at Improv Everywhere embraced the heat and turned the subway platform into a spa. Watch what happens when cranky riders happen upon an impromptu spa, with heated rock massages and infused water.
The walk to pick up the bus looks normal enough. Maybe it’s because Muni rider Ileana asked to go “off the grid”?
So this is how you skateboard uphill in San Francisco. This guy nonchalantly catches a ride from the 24-Divisadero, to what I can only imagine was the awe and surprise from the line outside of Brenda’s Meat and Three. Thanks to Wenyan Chen for this Instagram video.
I mean, us Muni riders’ motto should be, “Making the Most of a Bad Situation,” amirite? Muni rider Shaun is with me:

We’re not sure how this tricycle got on top of a Muni shelter, but the riders below seem completely oblivious to the bus stop feature just above them. I hope the tiny owner of the tricycle was able to recover it at some point. Kids gotta get from point A to point B, too.
Oh, and if you actually thought from the title that SFMTA installed bike parking for kids (or adults for that matter), my most sincere apologies. I know I’m on the fast lane to that special place in the afterlife for click baiters.
