The F-Market/Wharves line is actually really fun during the day. There is still your requisite group of tourists frantically wondering whether they missed the stop for Alcatraz or Pier 39, but it’s much less hurried or crowded around 11 a.m.

That’s not to say it doesn’t come with its share of odd visuals.

First up, we have the back hair that waved at me throughout the entire (thankfully short) journey from Pier 39 to the Ferry Building. I found it pretty remarkable how contained, yet not, this not-so-fashionable statement was. That reminds me, I don’t think I cleaned the lint trap out after my last dryer load (extreme close-up after the jump) …

Trouble seeing? Well, I couldn’t/refused to get closer, so here’s a zoomed-in, editorialized version.

Next, we have a cute little “no food” sign from the charming blue-and-white Zurich F car, featured a couple weeks ago in a post by Beth. For the uninitiated, keep in mind that there is no ice cream, Belgian frites or slices of cake allowed on this particular F-car. Everything else is cool, though.

Tara Ramroop might just have to push people out of the way to get on an F Zurich car again.

  • I like the Zurich one too, it seems though that it doesn’t appear as often as the others…I have yet to ride the covertible one though.

this back hair isn’t as insidious as it could have been…at least it was fuzzy and not…stringy?

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

  • poor guy: just think, he consciously makes an effort to shave his stuff, up to a certain point, and then his shirt wants to go and fall below the tree line.

UGH, now i just threw up in my mouth.

  • @NJudah: The Zurich car is fun largely because of its novelty, I think. Since you’re right: it just kind of shows up at odd times, usually not during my commute hours. The convertible one is just weird, I think. When it’s hot, there’s no cover. When it’s cold, you get whipped in the face with wind and your neighbor’s hair.

@Eugenia and Jeff: Yeah, this guy’s back hair was definitely some of the tamest I’ve seen. I think it struck me largely because it was just peeking over, and was doing so very evenly. I feel like someone should definitely tell him that his fuzz just isn’t working (Not it).

I think “stringy” is perhaps the most barf-worthy part of this post, the actual picture included.
