We found a very sincere thank-you note from a blogger on Tumblr who had an amazing Muni driver who made his day by going above and beyond.

“Today I had one of the coolest experiences I have ever had riding Muni. The driver kept everyone informed of all delays. ‘we have one car ahead of us… their doors are closing. We’ll be moving in 5 to 10 seconds” he said, and he was right. At almost every stop he told everyone getting off to “have a great day I’ll see you mañana, be safe” and occasionally added “remember that Muni loves you.’ He was funny too. When it was time to raise the right-side steps he said ‘I’m raising the right side steps, I hope nobody had a big breakfast or we’re in trouble.’

“While riding the MUNI [sic] today, this really neat guy with a Saint Bernard in a service vest sidled up next to me and said ‘That’s one [of] his and my’s favorite books. We’re fans.’ I looked down at the Saint Bernard and asked his name, his owner told me it was Grr.”

Aww, and what a great name for a doggie. Find out what happened next over at Mirth and Mercy.

If Internet, radio, video games, and television suddenly disappeared, we’d still have Muni to entertain us.

For example, the other night, Muni rider Brinn was treated to:

Then it took a turn south. Literally.

What did you overhear on Muni today?

J-Church rider makes nail-clipping look like bathing puppies

crack

This came into our inbox with subject: “I can beat nail clipping on Muni.” You be the judge.

Our submitter, who wishes to remain anonymous, emailed this with, “How about crack smoking on the J-Church at rush hour?”

HEY, LOOK, if real-life SNL skit Rob Ford can smoke crack “maybe once,” maybe this person can smoke crack “maybe once,” too.
