AT&T Park: Corgi Dressed as BART Train

This one I shall eat with a spoon.

Transit-themed costumes showcasing Bay Area pride are par for the course. Even Muni Diaries has been known to make costumes from time to time.

Last weekend was Dog Days of Summer at AT&T Park. For those of you with patient pets, Dog Days means your canine can join you in watching America’s pastime in scorching 65-degree heat. Sometimes (often), there are costumes. The annual event, this year benefiting the SPCA, proved once again that San Francisco loves dogs, (Giants) baseball, costumes, and dogs+baseball+costumes.

And transit. Let’s not forget transit.

A+ for craftsmanship and awesomeness goes to the corgi repping BART.

100 Muni StoriesYou know when you see something cute, and it makes you wanna do funny things? It happened to @elissaANNtorres on Muni.

Cute dogs do it to me, though I doubt seriously I could get a dog to play patty cake with me.

Fun Tonight: 10 Years of Being Young, Broke, and Beautiful

Tonight Muni Diaries friend Broke-Ass Stuart is celebrating 10 years of living in San Francisco with a huge blowout party at Public Works. My favorite part of the party invite: “this is a classy affair, so please DRESS UP.” Who doesn’t love an excuse to look fancy?

So here’s what you do:
Step 1. RSVP.
Step 2. Clean up nice.
Step 3. Party your ass off.

The original broke-ass himself is going to be there with tons of great stuff:

  • Sponsored fancy drinks (Negronis) by Campari for the first hour.
  • FREE Oysters by WoodHouse Fish Co. while supplies last.
  • 30 free gourmet dogs by Dojo Dogs (first come first serve)
  • Dojo Dogs + Creme Brulee Cart Outside
  • Photobooth by Snap Fiesta

It’s just $3 to get in, and part of that goes to Slap Cancer. We’ll see you there!

Urban Camo Man Takes Muni

Yesterday was a rough one on Muni. A man whose leg was cut off in a collision with Muni at Civic Center later died from injuries. A system shutdown ensued, and delays rippled throughout the day.

On the other hand, there was this guy and his four-leggers. As @girlinchucks says, “So, um, there is a man on the F Market dressed up like his dogs. What an eff’d up day for Muni. Just sayin’.”
